Meet Butchershop Creative, a full service integrated house located in San Francisco. The agency was born in 2008 out of frustration – its founders saw the need for a new type of creative agency. Named Butchershop as a tip of the hat to old craft and that respect for one’s work that was heavily instilled in classic butchershops, the company believes in holding strong skills and working hard. Graphic design, digital production, branding, advertising/marketing, and content creation are Butchershop’s five core strongsuits.
Describing their company culture as creative, technical and focused on the craft, Butchershop Creative isn’t your typical start-up. They consider themselves storytellers – the art of sharing stories regarded as one of their strongest suits. A start-up mentality. without the swagged out, fully stocked refrigerator spending habit.
One of their first huge clients was Blackstarr – they spent nearly two months working on the pitch. A film documentary and beautiful website came out of that first job. However, the creatives at Butchershop are invested in finding collaborative folks to work with rather than chasing down huge names like some agencies do. Instead, they are interested in fostering a positive mentor/mentee relationship and getting some damn good work done as well.
